Hey guys

Bit the bullet this morning, started using Warehouse for our projects @ wbs. Very impressed so far. My only complaint at this point would be Warehouse’s navigation scheme, which is less than optimal, particularly for people managing more than one repository with the same WH instance. Let me clarify with an image:

Warehouse SCM browser navigation issue

Having an “all changeset activity” screen is super useful (and it makes total sense that it is the “home screen” for warehouse). Problem is there’s no clear way to see which repository a changeset belongs to from that screen, which ends up making the screen look super confusing where it should be giving you a holistic view of your changeset activity.

In the image I suggest maybe having some sort of “label” for the repository under each changeset revision. Another alternative might be grouping the latest (say, 5? 10?) changesets per repository and listing them separately. I’m just not a huge fan of the mixture because there’s no way to know where each thing comes from.

Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll pass it on to Justin. In the future could you link to the full screen skitch image? I can barely read this one :) I can read enough and get the idea of what you mean though..

I just didn’t want to screw up the layout here ;-)
But there ya go. Cheers, rick

Justin suggested putting something after the by line: “by fred, 19 minutes ago | Birdie”

Putting long repo names like “Textmate Bundles” would mess up the avatar box.
