Inviting Users Problems

Hi all, I’ve been trying to invite co-workers into our project using the “Invite member” option with no success. One of two things happen: 1. Some of them have received the email with the complete “activate your user profile” link in it, however on the other end it never asks them to enter a password for their account. These aren’t technically-minded people so they don’t do anything. Unfortunately after their session expires and they try to log in again the activation link no longer works and they have accounts without user-defined passwords. It’s very unclear what they’re actually supposed to do at that point (though an enterprising few did click the “forgot password” link. Might I suggest that the very first action the activation link has a new user undertake is to enter an account password? 2. On occasion the invitation email contains no activation link at all. The complete text of the email is:
As predicted the users receiving emails with only this clicked that link and were confounded by nothing but a login form and a “No available projects” message. In looking at the raw source of these emails the rest of the content simply isn’t in them. Perhaps a bug in Lighthouse? At any rate Lighthouse is proving to be remarkably difficult for “regular” users to get going with, which is quite surprising to me. |

It sounds like something could definitely be wrong. I’m going to ask Rick to look at it now. What is your account name? If you wish to keep things private, you can email company@activereload.net and we’ll move the discussion over to email. |
